 This book is a breath of fresh air because it has all the lovely fantasy details without over doing it. I like that the story is from the FMC point of view. It was really easy to follow. Kaylah Lopez writes with such simplicity, but her attention to detail is perfect. Her writing enhances that fantasy feel and made the story flow well. This is a really enjoyable fantasy with lovely romance, magic, dragons, interesting creatures/monsters, growing friendships, and so much more. I am honored to be able to read this story at its early stages and I look forward to see how this story and beautiful world Kaylah created blossoms.

Words can’t even express how much I loved this book and that I need more. Ravena’s journey was thrilling and emotional, the writing was written so beautifully that I felt like I was there in the story, and I could feel what the characters felt. I wanted to jump through the screen and be teleported to this world. The found family was one of my favorite things about this story. The connections, the banter, the love, the witty comments….I loved it all. Can we also talk about that ending????? What just happened? I need more!

Watching Ravena trek through her journey while unearthing her heritage, and powers made for a wonderful story. This book showed a girl forced to run, but not out of fear necessarily, but to find a new way, to find answers. She not only finds out more of who she is and where she comes from, but also finds she has dual fates. With this knowledge she is forced to choose, to be consumed or be the savior. Following her on her path, while getting to see her inner thoughts and feelings has you wanting to fight for her. The telltale story of good versus evil, light versus dark, but this time she has the ability to be both, she is the salvation, and the villian. She must choose her path, with those she finds and loves along the way. Overall a well done fantasy book.

Dragons! Magic! Badass FMC! Romance! Prophecies! What does this story not have? Ravena is a character who has been kept in the dark about a lot. Her ability to preserve is so impressive while also giving herself time to heal and to feel. It’s a great balance and portrayed so well. Ravena is a strong character who does not allow time to hold her back and is ready to take on life and my situation head on. The characters and story were so unique and I cannot wait for more. This story is filled with mystery and intrigue and any who reads her story will be rewarded with a story they will never forget.

Shadows of Destiny has all the elements of an amazing Fantasy story, where Ravena's quest for her destiny takes the reader through an awesome rollercoaster of emotions and intrigues. Kayla has created an incredible world in Eldoria that will make you want to never leave. This book is beautifully and intelligently written in a way that made me feel, seek and believe that it was my destiny on the line, not just a witness to the evolution of the story!
