This book is a breath of fresh air because it has all the lovely fantasy details without overdoing it. This is a really enjoyable fantasy with romance, magic, dragons, interesting creatures/monsters, growing friendships, and so much more. I am honored to be able to read this story at its early stages. I look forward to seeing how this story and beautiful world, Kaylah created, blossoms, and continues. This is a story I can't wait to read more about.

Wow!! I DID NOT see that coming! I live for a good cliffhanger!
If you love dragons, a strong FMC, romance 🥰 , and suspense…this is the book for you!
I was hooked from the start! This is a book of loss,betrayal,family and hope. The characters and world building are well written and so lovable!
The romance and fighting are appropriate for young adult readers!
I will be eagerly waiting for book 2!

Magical and enchanting Romantasy filled with found family and dragon bonds, evil kings and rebel forces.
BEAUTIFUL writing with descriptions that paint every picture of each moment for you along the way. I was immersed in this world from the first pages and couldn’t put this book down until the end. If you’re looking for found family and dragon bonds of Fourth Wing, but with a faster paced story, you will really enjoy this read. I love love loved the book!! It’s a 5⭐️ read for me.

Well that was a wild ride! Congrats, Kaylah, on an excellent debut!
This book is very well written, with vivid imagery and some beautiful one-liners! The pacing is fast, pulling you in, but not so fast you feel you're missing out on the story.

If you enjoy prophecies, corrupt kings, found family, sassy dragons, magic, and secrets and betrayal, I think you'll really enjoy this book!

Beware that cliffhanger... I really wanted to believe -- but then -- WHAT?! 😭

This book. What a beautifully written book. Kaylah transformed the world around me with this book. The romance, fantasy, action… all of it was great! Reminds me of some of the bestseller books on the market (think acotar & from blood and ash)

The world building and the character build were freaking amazing. Ravena and the magic just had you in. Cazien was mysterious and adding in the banter was fun too. I’m ready for book 2 cause I want to go back into the world.
